Regulation FIIK 2014!

REGULATION FIIK 2014 

(International Festival of Independent Cinema Kino-Olho)

-       The festival accepts short films up to 20 minutes.

-       There is no defined themes and films should be classified in the following categories: FICTION DIGITAL, DIGITAL DOCUMENTARY, 35MM FILM and KINO-OLHO (exclusive category for participants of the city project).

-       The registration period is from February to June.

-       The Festival will be in the city of Rio Claro / SP on days 28, 29, 30 and 31 August.

-       The list of selected films and the online catalog will be available on site until early August.

-       The director must choose between the online application or traditional application.

ONLINE APPLICATION:

1-   The director must send to jpmiranda82@yahoo.com a message with the header (subject) written the name of the movie followed by 'FIIK 2014'. In the message body should have a link for viewing online video (with the password to watch it if necessary), film name, director, synopsis, category and duration.

2-    In this same message attachment files should be: AUTHORIZATION (signed and scanned) REGISTRATION FORM,  PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL (photo or poster) and a file with english subtitle and timecode (SRT file type).

TRADITIONAL APPLICATION:

1-    The director will send a single package to FIIK 2014 (Rua 7, 1150 Centro. Rio Claro SP 13500-410 Brazil) containing a DVD with the movie file (mpeg-4, H.264 if possible),  a Compact Disc with SIGNED AUTHORIZATION, REGISTRATION FORM PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL (pictures or poster). and a file with english subtitle and timecode (SRT file type).

SELECTION:

1-    The selected directors will receive a message in early August by the same email that informed.

2-    The selected filmmakers will be responsible for shipping of your movie file in MPEG-4 (H.264) format with a maximum resolution of 1080p and can send both media by post or provide a link to the download.

3-    The selected category 35mm filmmakers should send copies. The Festival will be responsible for the return of work.

4-    The honorable mention "Chapéu de Palha" will be delivered to a director of each category, which is selected by the curators. 

5-    The mention will be a art work made ​​by an artist of local notoriety, to represent the "cinema caipira" Kino-Olho group style.
